Workaround: Saving files to google drive

Automates the export folder of the supernote and saves a copy of the file on google drive

What you will need to download and create for this workaround:

  • IFTTT ( If This, Then That )

  • Dropbox account syncing to Supernote

  • Create an output folder on your Google Drive

  1. Download IFTTT to your computer or device

    1. Sign up for IFTTT

    2. Create an Applet

      1. Create the IF ( in this case search for the Dropbox). For the Subfolder field put the Supernote/Export as the path. This will be the triggering event. By doing this the Applet will be looking at any new pdf or png file in the Export folder.

      2. Create the THEN THAT ( in this case search for Google Drive). For the Drive folder put the new output folder that was created in Google Drive ( Dropbox ).

Another Option: Use the current Applet I created and just configure the settings to your preference. Picture of my Applet is down below. Should say created by Entry_Line.

How to test:

  1. Open up Dropbox and navigate to your Export folder.

    1. Find a pdf or png and rename it to simulate a new file coming in. If there are no pdfs or pngs in your Export folder, export one in there.

  2. Go to IFTTT and hit “Check Now” or wait patiently.

  3. If done correctly, open Google Drive and the file should now be in your output folder.

Google Drive is now available for syncing as of 06/13/2023. No longer necessary for this workaround.
